Hats
My family is the hat-friendly. My father loved hats, and so do my brother and I. My father wore soft hats and liked a Boater during the summer months. He never wore a ball cap, though my brother and I do.
I have many ball caps, although they are mainly golf hats. So, what’s the deal? Well, I can’t understand why people wear their caps with the bill backward. Can you? A hat is meant to block the sun from your face. It also keeps your hair in place, but its primary purpose is to protect against the sun.
Young people must Often weat thaeir hats backward. I see adults copying the teens. In strong winds, backward is practical, but besides that, why do people do this?
Who are they talking to?
They’re everywhere: at the grocery store, in parking lots, at ball games, and in parks. Who? The cell phone people. I mean, who are they talking to? The only calls I get are spam. In this age of email and messaging, why are they talking nonstop? The other question is, what are these folks talking about for hours on end? Of course, they are a hazard. God forbid that my two-ton car should get in their way when they are making a crucial call in Von’s parking lot!
A Waiter
This morning, we ate at Walker’s Pancake House in Del Mar. Our waiter was a friendly Hispanic man who was attentive and on top of his game. He was polite, efficient, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. Did I call ICE? No, but I thanked him and left him a good tip.
